  • I FINALLY had the opportunity to visit Dreamchaser's recently and I loved it! We went on a Saturday night and there was a whole gaggle of us celebrating a friend's birthday. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed (without being dive-y) and the beers were really good (and that's saying a lot for a non-beer drinker!). The service was super friendly and they even allowed me a sample taste of their brews before deciding what to order. The had a band that night and they were good, too. However, they should leave Prince off of their Rock Playlist. IMO, there's only one person who should perform Prince...and that was Prince....just sayin'. The brewery/seating area was very clean and the restrooms were spotless...both HUGE pluses for me. Now for the downsides... 1.) They only serve beer. YES, I KNOW IT"S A BREWERY, but....everyone brewery that I have ever been to serves wine, too. Again, I liked the beer, but my preference would have been wine. They have a BYOW option with a $5.00 corking fee, but that's pretty inconvenient once you fight for a parking space and are already there. The good news is...they've just approved to serve wine so it's coming soon! (Yay!!) 2.) They have NO FOOD. What!?!?! No snacks, no bar food, nothing! They are SO missing the boat on this. They could even serve pre-packaged salty snacks and have an additional revenue stream. Not to mention, salty snacks make patrons more thirsty....more thirsty = more beer sales. Sounds like a no-brainer to me. 3.) They close early! As I mentioned, we were there on a Saturday night. We were all settled in, enjoying the beer, enjoying the band, laughing and dancing and enjoying our friends and then BAM!!!...closing time at 10pm. Let me repeat...closing time at 10:00 (TEN) pm on a Saturday night. Wait? What!?!? You're kidding me, right?!? (Nope, no joke!) The majority of the people that were there left to go to Stuffed Olive (us included) to finish out our night. That's great for Stuffed Olive, but the money that Dreamchaser's is losing after 10pm is huge! I really struggled with the number of stars that I wanted to give. Technically, all things considered, it should have been a 3 stars, BUT....I know that they are still coming into their own and I really did love everything else about the place so I will cut them some slack. 4 stars it is! :-)
