  • Dealing with this car dealership has been one of the worst experiences I've had in my 12 years of business transactions. I inquired about a lease of a Mitsubishi electric car because of an article I read online which suggested getting an electric car would end up costing $60+ a month due to a $7500 credit from the government for getting an electric car. I spoke to the General Manager and he told me that the 24-month lease program with Mitsubishi would qualify for me to get a $7500 cah back. He explained to me that I don't get the $7,500 right away but that I file a form and I get $7,500 within 90 days from the government. I then continued with the process of submitting an application. Not only did I get stalled for several days but I had to continuously make phone calls in order to get an answer. Then the salesman tries to sell me another type of vehicle whil we were going through the process... wtf?! Finally they tell me that I had to redo the application inorder to qualify for the $7500. You would think that since they only sold 7 of these vehicles over the last year and had 4 left would encourage them to make the deal happen... The way they dealt with me as if the business I was giving them was a favor to me and the unprofessionalism made me question if the information they told me was true. Too good to be true right? So I did more reseach online and contacted a nearby dealership to confirm the information Courtesy Imports gave me and found out it was completely incorrect!! Not only was the $7500 a tax credit and not a refund, it is also not applicable to leases because the IRS guideline for the tax credit is only if you purchase an electric vehicle. The leasing company gets the tax credit, not the lessee. I called Courtesy Imports back to get their feedback on the information I had. Two of my calls got disconnected and when I called again, I was told they were "in a meeting." No wonder car dealerships and car salesmen have the worst reputation! But Courtesy Imports is by far the worst of them all.
