| - I'm going to try to write a fair review.
The good:
Clean office, 3 doctors (Lepore, Gerome, and a new female who I don't know off hand), plus a few nurses who are available for nurses visits like flu shot, office hours are actually pretty accommodating - even open one Saturday a month, there is also an after hours hotline which the doctors rotate, they reserve appointments each day for same-day sick, they offer almost everything like circumcision and well checks, they have two entrances - one for sick and one for well, in general we never wait too long to see the doctor.
The bad:
Front desk staff is either not supported, not trained, not held accountable, or over worked. They often let the phone ring and ring (imagine being up all night with LO's fever 101/102 and the doc not answering when they open in the AM) - frustrating! Dr Lepore is kind of a creeper like he kisses on the cheek and hugs a little too long. The woman doctor and doctor Gerome are condescending. They probably hear these problems all day but it's usually my first or second time encountering it! The doctors are in-and-out so quick it's hard to get all your questions answered without it being a spitfire conversation and hard to remember everything. I had 2 missed visits in 4 years as the front desk said hey had to terminate our patient status even tho one of the two was a miscommunication between their doctor and the front desk! I argued my way out of that one but what the hell? The kicker was for me that they obviously made that decision based on numbers alone and without regard to patient/doctor relationship or general welfare of my kid - we're just a number and there are plenty other patients lined up to fill our spot.
I do keep going to KidFixers, mostly out of convenience. I also understand doctors are hard to come by in this town so it's like the lesser of two evils.
