| - Any bar with a menu that includes the phrase "miracleberry ginger gobstopper ice sphere with scented lolligarden" is bound to be interesting.
Is there anything to say about Chandelier that hasn't already been said? Everyone already knows that Level 1.5 is where it's at, and I'm proud to say that I was able to squeak through the door (you know, the door that's not actually there) mere hours before 1.5 and 2 shut down for a refurbishment. I'm excited to see what's next.
Yes, the Fire Breathing Dragon is back, which, as a *visual* crowd pleaser, contrasts nicely with the plain-looking-but-full-of-buzzing-alkaloids Verbena. I've yet to taste a bad cocktail here, but I do think the drinks are leaning in a sweeter direction of late, which I'm not entirely on board with. Yes, I know, prepositions.
As always, thousands of football-field-long strands of (plastic) crystal are the gaudy/beautiful order of the day, enveloping Chandelier Bar like a fabulous army of bedazzled tapeworms designed entirely to elicit digital oohs and aahs from your Instagram followers. Nonetheless, Chandelier remains a must-visit for me, and always will.
