I stayed here for 3 nights in early May. The check in girl was very thorough and asked us about many preferences that I would have never thought of. She gave us a great room close to the elevator in the Carson Tower.
The hotel Buffet was incredible with so many choice st breakfast and lunch. The food was great. We had vouchers because of our convention being held there. It was nice to have VIP service with no need to wait in line to be seated. The view from our breakfast table was lovely.
The only complaints I have is that in your room they have bottles of water but if you open them, they charge you for it! Wanna use the coffee machine in your room, another charge. And room service food was overpriced. Room service charge on top of the food was $5. And since we were so tired and we forgot to order drinks, it would have been another $5 plus the cost of the soda so we drank tap water with our meal....not cool!!!
The rooms were clean but the tub was weird and concaved in on the sides so you did not feel like you were standing flat while showering. The bathroom sink countertop was installed too high which is a problem for shorter people trying to brush their teeth over the sink.
The shark chute slide was fantastic but closed at 7pm which is way too early. By the time we finished our convention sessions and awards dinners the only time we had to do the slide and enjoy the pool was the morning we checked out before our flight back. This attraction should stay open much later.
I might stay here again but there are so many other hotels with attractions at competitive prices that I pretfer not to be nickled and dimed for bottled water in my room again.
