  • An airport is an airport, no matter what you do. It's ALL on you--make sure you get there with plenty of time to go through security, and just assume you're going to get stopped and searched. The employees are just doing their job. You already know airport food is going to be expensive and not that great, so don't get all nit picky about the restaurants and options, just be glad that have something at all. There are tons of slot machines here to help you pass the time, the restrooms were fine. I always wish they were cleaner, and these were no different than any other airport I've been to. There are also a few displays that talk about the airport and mention some cool facts. There is also a kids play area, if you don't mind climbing over dirty toys and letting your kid slobber them as well. #CreatingCharacter #BuildingImmuneSystems The only bummer thing I have to report: I booked a flight with an hour connection in Miami, not my choice by the way. Our flight arrived there with, no joke, 30 minutes before our other one left. I sprinted to catch my other flight and luckily made it just as they were shutting the gate--totally sweating and stressed. I've been on flights before that had the courtesy of announcing over the speaker "If you don't have a connecting flight, please be courteous to the ones who do and let them off first." I think all flights should adopt that standard, it would be absolutely HEAVENLY. I know that that doesn't reflect the airport entirely, but if one of the big wigs happens to be reading this, I would love if they took my suggestion to heart. TIPS & TRICKS: (for any airport and any travels) * If you can get away without having to check a bag, DO IT. I went to Mexico for a week in just a backpack and it was so perfect. That backpack was my "personal item" that fit snuggly under the seat in front of me. And if you do need more clothes, take a carry on. I PROMISE you'll thank me later when you're hanging on the beach and your buddies are taking a nap in the airport because they have to wait for their luggage to arrive after finding out it didn't make the connecting flight. * Have your liquids in an easy to access pocket in your bag. Wear comfortable travel sweats if you can! * Cranberry juice is always a winner when the beverage cart comes around.
