Unfortunately, I've had the same experience as the other reviewer here & potentially worse.
My husband bought his KX450F new off the showroom floor & takes diligent care in regular maintenance, not limited to regular oil changes, cleaning oil filters, valve clearance checks, etc.
He took took the shocks to Bob about a year ago for general service & re-valving to make the ride softer for single track. Got the shocks back & really couldn't tell any difference, but maybe they didn't need that much in adjustment -benefit of the doubt given to Bob.
Fast forward to this week: took the shocks in to a specialist in Prescott & was appalled to find the rear shock on its last leg & in replacement condition due to faulty work done by Bob. Rob at MotoLab sent me the photos of my shocks where you could see damage from improper disassembly & service by Bob -the bladder was pinched inside the shocks and it actually looks like PLIERS & SCREWDRIVERS were used to take them apart -not the actual tools used for this kind of work. Rear shock was never cleaned properly & the steel shavings left behind tore up the entire shock body where the seal head sits.
PLEASE AVOID THIS GUY LIKE THE PLAGUE. Not only am I out the money I paid Bob to do a professional job, I'm now out the cost of a replacement rear shock. I only hope I can save someone else from going through this.
