| - The name is pretty self-explanatory: this is a pawn shop, in other words, a place where you can convert your unwanted items into cash. Or, if you're in my family, a place where you can convert cash into tons and tons of video games.
The selection of items is pretty decent...they have sports equipment, AV equipment, DVDs, games, game systems, household items, musical instruments, etc. However, the prices for the bigger electronic items (such as the mixers, the televisions, etc.) seem a little steep to me. Also, the game systems (such as the PS3) seem to be priced pretty close to retail, so why buy used?
The staff have been friendly and helpful and they allow my husband to check every disc for flaws before he purchases. There is also a pretty decent return policy, so you can buy with some confidence. However, as pawn shops go this place is pretty standard. I didn't find anything remarkable or unique and I wasn't particularly wowed when I left. I do like that this one is next to dollarama and bulk barn, though, so it's a great place to get your discount shopping done. :-)
