| - This review is solely in response to our experience in the Deli dept today 06/30/17 at 5pm, and not a reflection of the whole store. Our family usually receives very good customer service, but today's "service" in the deli dept was so abysmal, I felt compelled to not only complain to the manager (Eric) but also write this review.
We waited for our number to be called and when it was called, we were served by a lady named Lori. No "hi, how are you, what can I get for you?" Nothing. No biggie. My husband and I tell her we'd like 1/2 lb of roast beef. No acknowledgement from her, she just starts cutting. She didn't even ask how thin we'd like it. OK, I think, whatever. While we were perusing the other selections, we saw some ham we'd like to buy. She then hands us the beef. We then say we'd like 1/2 lb ham. Again, not a word from her, she leaves then cuts it. But this time when she handed us the meat, she says to us in a snotty, dismissive tone "Have a nice day." I said "But we're not done." She then has the audacity to say to us "Well, hurry up!" I'm flabbergasted! I said "Did you just tell us to 'hurry up'? We're spending money here." She then said " I was just kidding." Clearly she was not. I decided I didn't want to be in her presence anymore, we didn't buy anymore deli selections.
We relayed this interaction with Eric the manager, who agreed that this was uncalled for. I told him it's not like I was asking for free sample upon free samples. We were customers spending hard earned $$.
Customers should not be treated as an annoyance. If the employees feels that way, they should find another job where they don't have to deal with the public.
