| - Went to the Revive Spa today based on a Travel Zoo coupon I bought for a 50-minute massage and foot scrub. The reason I give it three and not five stars is because I think this spa is very corporate, stale and ordinary. It's like the people at JW Marriott all sat down in a room and said, "Hey! Let's have a spa and decorate it like our guest rooms. We'll hang a couple pictures on the wall and hope that housekeeping will make rounds every once in a while." What's more, there is basically one area to rest (or is it "revive?") inside, and it's in a large room with a bunch of chairs with uncomfortable decorator pillows. (How often are THOSE washed?) There were used paper cups and a scattering of trash at the tables. Not good. In addition, it was an unusually mild day in Phoenix, and there were a few blankets on the chairs that people were using for "nap time." However, I could not find any clean blankets, and I certainly was not going to use the ones that the other women had used. In addition, there are signs posted intermittently throughout the spa to talk quietly, but people avoid this request. There were so many people talking in the "quiet room," that I went ahead and left after my treatment. Quite honestly, I've been to numerous spas across Phoenix, and this spa does not provide a warm, inviting atmosphere to make patrons stay around and enjoy it. My male massage therapist, Bryan, did a good enough job, but the total spa experience did not meet my expectations.More than likely, I won't buy another voucher for this spa. Back to the Montelucia...
