CoolN2 is a place you definitely have to try and experience at least once. What I initially thought was a novelty isn't entirely a gimmick but one that also creates a unique kind of ice cream. The result is a fresher tasting ice cream, though I can't entirely vouch that it is more creamy or smoother in terms of texture than regular ice cream.
So the main premise of CoolN2 is a visual spectacle combined with some freshly made ice cream made to order. It's awesome to know and see your ice cream being made right in front of you! But unfortunately that does mean the wait can get long. On my most recent I decided to get their strawberry ice cream and it was pretty good! The strawberry flavor is very prominent in a good way and the ice cream was denser than I expected. Though that isn't a bad thing (think haagen daaz). The texture was mostly smooth aside from some lumps but it was still a very enjoyable cup of ice cream.
I have also tried the both the mango pop ice and frozen breath from a previous visit and both are items that you should try at least once. However I'm not entire sure I would get them again, namely the frozen breath, because it was purely based on the fact that is simply normal cheetos puffs in some liquid nitrogen. That being said, it was a fun and novel experience! The pop ice is more conflicting; I did like the abundance of fresh mango slices but the texture of the pop ice wasn't what I expected. It was rather hard and without flavor once you eat away at all the mango bits and syrup coated ice.
