  • Had a whine my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan engine. Went into former (Shelbys) and was told it had to break before they could tell what to fix. Anyway, the noise is now louder, so I went into the service department yesterday to arrange for it to be fixed. When i stood at the counter for a few minutes while two persons were working on their computers, the Service Manager I think, came out of his offfice and just walked by me, without any word. After standing there for so long, I decided to leave. Then as i neared the door, one of the two clerks asked me if he could help me. I told him I came in for a repair, but since I was ignored (as had been done before), I would go somewhere else. Today I went to the service department at Bill Abbot in Monticello. Had no appointment. I was immediately welcomed, explained my problem, and was immediately told what they thought the problem was--not wait until it broke. A man checked the vehicle, confirmed the problem, and I made an appointment for the repair. I bought my car from Shelby, and the culture in the service department is terrible. When I got no service from them with my new car, I then went to Tuscola a few times, but that dealer closed. So I went to Bill Abbot in Monticello. When the service manager at Shelby contacted me (after i contacted Dodge) and said they would like me back, I went. But, now the culture is the same. My advice--take the half hour drive to Monticello. They appreciate their customers and the business.
