  • I have lived in Pittsburgh for almost 10 years and haven't found a salon or stylist that I loved until I came to Destefino's. After about 10-11 years, I made the decision to get my hair colored at an out of state salon, based on a recommendation from my friend. Let's just say I didn't get what I asked for and wore my hair up for weeks before I didn't like it. Both of my good friends come to Destefino's and recommended this salon to me. I researched the stylists to see who would fit my needs the most and decided to go to Jerica. Let's just say, I went with the right person! I wasn't very well versed with hair techniques, but the receptionist was very sweet and nice when describing what I needed to get done with my hair. Jerica listened to what I wanted and was very patient with me when I needed her to explain what she was doing to my hair and why she was doing it. She gave me exactly what I wanted (a subtle ombre) and also told me how to maintain it. I have been to Jerica numerous times now and I am back to my natural color. She has been consistently amazing every time. I also appreciate the honesty as well, she could have told me that I needed to come in every 6 weeks to maintain my hair, but she always is upfront and honest about what I need to do to maintain the look I'm going for. I also want to note that I hear some of the side conversations going on with the other stylists and it seems that they are all equally nice and honest as well. Every time I speak with the receptionists on the phone and come in they have been extremely polite and very nice. They always offer me something to drink multiple times within my appointment and always are very sweet. I don't feel that the prices are way too pricey. You truly get what you pay for and I would gladly pay what they charge for the amazing results I always get!
