I was going to give this place a 3 star comparing it to other personal karting experiences but I'm from the UK and this is the first Canadian place I've been to so I haven't a local comparison so I give it a 4.
Group of 9, 3x30 lap race Grand Prix $90 each. We raced on a quieter Sunday. We where split into a group of 5 and 4. Max track allowance is 7 (8 at a push) this worked out really well as it stretched out the day allowed for a break and we could chat race speak and watch our friends race too.
Positives
Friendly staff, great communication on the phone with Reahd setting up the day a few weeks in advanced. The track is clean and tight. Good barrier set up. My kart ran well and most of the other guys karts did too. We got on track and back off switching groups really quickly. Our group had the track to ourself for our Grand Prix too. We got fastest time slips to compare with each other and all in all had a great day out.
Negatives
Karts where a little inconsistent but I think they put the fast guys of our group in slowest cars to even out the race. One friend had a wheel break on him so he had a spoiled race (had to hot swap to a new kart and get back on) but he still had fun and wasn't a big deal. Some where disappointed that the pool cues in the waiting area had missing tips and the drinks machine was completely out. It's also a bit smelly and we reeked of gasoline afterwards. Some ventilation would greatly help. The barmaid in shoeless joes over the road commented on our collective smell.
All in all though a really great day out. I would like to try other places before I would return but if I didn't have a better choice I would come back again.
