OK I gave one more star than it deserves because the food here is just so good!
Normally, if a restaurant offers above average food but below average customer service, it would not get more than three stars from me. I think when you go to a sit-down restaurant, the service is equally as important as the quality, but rules are meant to be broken...
I have been here twice and both times they were empty. Once, it was an hour before their closing. The other was a carry-out order at 7pm and not a single table. It worked out great because I ordered on my way to the restaurant and I was there within five minutes and my food was already waiting for me!
The pad see ew (stir fried noodles with Chinese broccoli) is a must try. The flavor and noodle-broccoli ratio are in perfect harmony. The bits and pieces of the scrambled eggs really tie it together. Try it with tofu because their tofu is awesome - not over cooked like most places.
They also have a delicious duck curry. I intend to frequent this place more often and try more of their dishes even though I have to suffer through the one girl that works there who never smiles. In fact, from the look of her face, you'd think you created an inconvenience for her by patronizing her establishment! And I know for a fact it's not a culture thing because most Thais are extremely friendly!
Side note: since the restaurant hardly has sit-down patrons (I am assuming they stay open with mostly take out orders), this makes for a great restaurant for dates. At least you will both snicker about the rude-looking server and connect on a deeper level with delicious food...
