| - If I could rate this place a 0, I would. My husband and I lived here for three years. We had no problems with the actual apartment itself, other than the proximity to the i10, basically making it impossible to leave the windows open in the fall and winter due to noise.
Don't plan on getting your security deposit back, because you won't get it. I cleaned that house top to bottom and it looked just like it did when we moved in, save for one spot on the wall (which I couldn't clean up for the life of me). I asked for the specific paint they use in the apartments so that I could just touch up the paint and they wouldn't tell me. I suspect this is because they want every chance to keep your deposit.
Good luck finding a place to park. In the three years we lived here, I think we were able to park in our own spot maybe... 60% of the time. The rest of the time, our space was taken by college kids visiting their friends, maintenance people, or someone else. I actually had them towed on several occasions. If I pay for a parking spot, I'd better be the one parking in it.
The office staff when we first moved in were delightful. They were professional, courteous, and really went out of their way to help us. We were moving into this place from the east coast sight unseen, we were late picking up the keys (again, driving from the east coast. Arrival time is not predictable when you're driving over 30 hours). We arrived after business hours and they had someone come in just to take our deposit and give us the keys. Those days are long gone. By the second year, when they had switched to a new company, they fired all the wonderful people we came to know and appreciate. They were replaced by a rude, inconsiderate, and condescending staff.
Our downstairs neighbors were horrible. We complained several times due to the extremely loud music and bass that shook the photos right off my wall. This went on for several months before I guess their lease was up and they moved out. Crystal Springs did absolutely nothing about this, despite several complaints. I was working 2 jobs at the time. When I was home to sleep in the afternoon, it was next to impossible.
Lastly, they have changed property management companies every year since the year we moved in. Now they are with a company called Greystar. They claimed that we owed them 139.00 when we moved out, and when we tried to pay it, literally no one would take our money. I have been calling Greystar for MONTHS and no one ever answers the phone, and there is no option to record a message and have someone call back. No payment options on their website.
