I'd like to give a review of the food and the establishment itself, but I never really got the chance to experience it. It looked like a ton of fun with some unique fare, but we only managed to spend about 15 minutes inside before giving up.
My Dad has mentioned seeing The Duce on Food Network a couple times, so I decided to take him there after my family attended an event at the nearby Talking Stick Resort Arena. When we arrived there was some sort of a private party taking up nearly half of the place. That's fine. But it took sometime to try to secure a table inside since the temperature was a little more cool than usual that day. Then when I went to grab some menus, I heard the cashier tell the people ordering at the time that it was going to be an hour for food. No. We didn't have that kind of time. We're going somewhere else.
I don't want to tell anyone how to run their business. But if you are going to host a private party and remain open to the public, you may want to make sure your kitchen can handle the load. I would have been much happier and more understanding if we had just been turned away at the door.
