  • I wanted to cry after I left this place. But, I guess that's what I get for going the cheap route. I was a bridesmaid for a friend's wedding; and figured I can just do my own hair and makeup. But, weeks before...I figured I would just go to the nearest beauty school to get it done. It was a little too late to go in w/ the other bridesmaids that was going to get their hair and makeup done at the hotel. The place is very nice and clean. It is located in the same plaza as Buffalo Wild Wings. I believe there were 2 sections of the building: the school and the spa? So, first things first...hair. I had pictures saved on my phone for hairstyles I wanted. It was the easy braid in the front with it coming back for a messing bun in the back. The lady didn't know how to do. She had mentioned she had to use strings to do it? I was like okay?? After that, I figured forget it...I don't want to pay for something that I can do at home. I will just put my hair in a sock bun w/ a braid around it. So, I cancelled that appointment and felt bad. Makeup. The lady that did my makeup was really nice. She gave me the 3 options available which I wished was posted on their price listing; because I would had not come. 1st option was the regular basic makeup for $35, not $25 (what was posted on their website). 2nd option professional makeup for $75 and 3rd option is airbrush for $100. Really?? I could just go to a "real professional" and pay that much to get it done. Ridiculous!! I just went with option #1 since I was already there and didn't want to cancel both appointments and look like an a$$. I figured I just really need my eye makeup done. I also showed her a very clear picture of how I wanted it. There was no mirror to check to see how it was going. 20 minutes after, I looked like a drag queen :( Oh, and the makeup kit she was using was like...how can I describe this? You know those cheap whole makeup kit, that you can get as a free gift when you buy something for more than $75 at a department store. Or something you can get at CVS or Walmart...that one! There was no supervision. No one checked my makeup to see if it was okay. I was seated in area that was chat central and people passing by. I went home and did my makeup over. What a waste of money and time! :( It was just not what I had expected. Sad to say. I will not return, not recommend this place and pay the "real professionals". Lesson Learned!
