  • 3.5 STARS I work literally a 2 min walk away from this location of Starving Artist, so needless to say my whole office was excited when they opened. I've been here on several occasions. THE FOOD: Starving Artist has great waffles, I'm particularly a fan of their potato waffles, which are impressively light considering they're potato based and are a great base for all of the savoury waffles. THE SPACE: The restaurant is spacious and bright, but always packed around lunch time. The wait time at the door is generally minimal (10-15 mins) but the wait once you have ordered can be excessive. This is not a place to go for a quick work lunch. Definitely budget 1-1.5 hours. THE SERVICE: No big complaints about the service, it's always friendly and helpful. On one occasion, I was there with a friend who let them know she has a pineapple allergy, yet pineapple was still put in her fruit salad, so we weren't particularly impressed with their attention to detail. However, they were very apologetic and brought her a new fruit salad immediately.
