rev:text	Took advantage of an AMEX delights special for some well deserved pampering. I thought I would use it in the deep dark depths of winter but as is common with these coupon things, you tend to forget. By fate or fortune I called on the very last day the voucher was supposed to expire luckily, Hammam was very accommodating and allowed me to make an appointment for a couple weeks after. The Spa itself is beautiful, warm and offers a surprisingly serene respite away from the hustle bustle of King Street despite being in the lower level of the building. Decor was comfortable and very well appointed. Kudos to the designers for creating such a comfortable space. It's chic without appearing too "feminine" and modern without being stark. Men and women alike would feel right at home in this environment. It is kept impeccably clean by a constant attendant making sure that all towels are not left strewn about, the floors are clean and everything is tidy. Reception and the staff were all polite and very welcoming. My voucher included a 1 hr massage, manicure and pedicure as well as use of the steam room. The massage was good, not the best I have had but in fairness I do have a regular RMT whom i am convinced is the best RMT in world so anyone else have to have magical hands to better him. That being said, the RMT was professional, accommodating and i melted into the hour. My manicure and pedicure were equally good. She was terrific, cleaned and clipped my nails, hand massage followed by a dip in parrafin wax. My feet and hands never felt smoother or cleaner. The scrubs and lotions that Hammam uses are top notch and smell almost good enough to eat. Hammam's steam room is co-ed but nice and hot, the steam is perfumed with eucalyptus and other herbs and is lit by a ever changing LEDs. Just be sure to keep yourself wrapped up to avoid embarrassment. I would rate Hammam a bit higher were it not for the sky high prices of their services. I was grateful to have had all that pampering for a not unreasonable $200 but I would be hard pressed to have paid regular price (amounting to almost $400). The staff are great, the spa is beautiful. Hammam is a Great experience overall.
