| - We used TrueCar and found a 2011 Toyota Sienna at a decent price here. Overall, I'd say Chapman Ford is just your typical dealership that is far more interested in moving cars than serving customers. The salesman we were connected with was nice and accommodating, but it was clear that he wasn't much interested in figuring out our needs or serving us as much as just selling the car. I would say the same of the finance guy. They wanted to give us almost nothing for our trade in with the reason being, "We're just going to send it off to auction and only get $2,000 at most for it". My thought was, "Ok, that's your choice. You could sell it for at least $6,000 without even trying. Why am I paying for your choice to send it off to auction?!" I'm sure that many have inflated opinions about the value of their trade-in but even the absolute lowest KBB price for trade-in was $2,500 and our car was in great shape. Another indication that they don't care much for customers was the amount of time we spent at the dealership to get the deal done. We had a pre-scheduled appointment, only one vehicle that we looked at, a short test drive, but still ended up spending over three hours at the dealership. The fact that we had our 3month old daughter along with us didn't seem to move the needle on urgency to get us out of there. Also, they offer a full detail on the sale which is great except that they hadn't done it on the vehicle yet (though it had been on the lot for a month). They had me come back for the detail after the weekend saying it would take 3 hours. At 3hrs, 45min I asked what the hold-up was, and finally got it back about 15min later. A dealership that cares about customers does not take for granted their time like this. What brought this review up from 1 star to 2 stars is that I do feel like we got a good deal on the van in the end. I had to work my butt off for it, almost leave twice, and still turn the finance guy back when he "forgot" to add the license transfer and wanted to throw that in after we already agreed and shook hands over a price, but I do think that we got a good deal. He did what he had to do with the numbers to get us to our desired price, saying, "I want to get this car off the lot." Summary: if you want to go to a dealership where you can feel a sense of trust and care, I wouldn't come near Chapman Ford. If you want to fight for a deal and possibly get one, maybe give them a shot.
