  • The staff including the veterinarians at the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital are the best in the greater Phoenix area!! I have always had a positive experience here! I am the owner of two adorable dwarf rabbits and started taking them to Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital earlier this year. I wish I could have found this place much sooner! It would have saved me a lot of time and frustration that I had to deal with when going to other veterinarians that clearly did not have experience treating rabbits. I initially saw Dr. Johnson when my little bunny Mocha had an eye infection and was told that he would at some point need to have his teeth filed. Sure enough, a few weeks later, Mocha was weak and could hardly eat, and I had to take him in to get his teeth filed so he could get back to normal. This time, I saw Dr. Corcoran. Dr. Corcoran performed the teeth filing and I was a bit nervous that Mocha had to undergo anesthesia, but he put me at ease. Since this last visit, I have been going to Dr. Corcoran and have been so impressed by his kindness, knowledge of rabbits, and how he is thorough in the examination and in explaining every detail of his diagnosis. My other bunny, Marble, has had some difficulties with nasal infections and no other veterinarian was able to solve the problem, even after many attempts with different antibiotics and treatments. However, Dr. Corcoran prescribed a combination of medicines that has greatly improved Marble's sneezing and he is nearly back to normal! Overall, this place has been so helpful and accommodating and I greatly appreciate the friendliness of the staff! I also recommend Dr. Corcoran to anyone who has exotic pets! Also, it is so relieving to find a veterinarian who is experienced in treating rabbits, as many other veterinarians aren't. It is too bad I found this amazing place only to be leaving soon for a job out of state...I can only hope to find a veterinarian in the Santa Barbara, CA area who is as wonderful as Dr. Corcoran!
