| - I have mixed feeling about this Doctor's Office.....I was there on Saturday the 30th of Nov...and well needless to say the whole process started on Friday. I showed up at 4pm thinking I could see a doctor, I was hacking up a lung, but they were CLOSED! Who closes on a Friday at 4pm??? Apparently this place has banker's hours.....not cool.
So I return on Saturday and make sure to get there early. There is a wonderful elderly couple sitting waiting to get in and yes we were about 30 mins early, but the place opens at 10am on a Saturday, I thought that the line would have been longer. As the clock ticks by two ladies stand near the door....I make eye contact to let them know that we are waiting as well. Well the door opens and they rush in....needless to say I was having NONE of that.....so I spoke up....the part that erked me most was that they knew we were there and that the staff didn't even ask "who was here first" after seeing that both myself and the elderly couple had wandered by the window a few times checking the door. They did how ever correct the process after I brought it up.
We were taken into the exam rooms quite quickly, and that impressed me. Once I saw the doctor, a Doctor Allan Tam, I was not impressed. He treated me with no bedside manner and as if I didn't know what my symptoms meant....I knew I had a chest infection - I get them 2 times a year...and I know what drug I need to be put on....a drug that he didn't put me on. I left with a hope that the meds would work.
I had to return to the doctors office on Wednesday Dec 2nd because after taking the full course of medicine I was still not even close to being well! Once again, I went in and this time the office was a bit busy, but they did do their best to accommodate me...I was feeling icky so they let me lay down to wait my turn. Something they didn't need to do, so that was a plus.
My doctor this time was a WONDERFUL doctor named Wendy Proctor....what a Godsend! She was so friendly and so sweet. She took the time to do a full check up and even sent me for chest x-rays. If it hadn't been for her I would probably still be sick ( I mean I am, but I would be much more sick). The first doctor told me I was fine to go to work when I really wasn't. She just made the whole process so easy and comforting. She gave me a doctor's note...something I would have had to pay for but she did it anyway...and just turned my whole opinion of this clinic around.
If you get sick, make sure it's a Wednesday or a Friday as that's the only time that Dr. Proctor is there....make sure you get her if you want to receive the best care.
