I just spent 4 nights at this hotel. On my arrival, the TV did not work and the plug for the drain (the kind that goes up and down) was just lying in the sink. I called maintenance and about an hour later, someone showed up to fix the TV but didn't have the "part" to fix the sink plunger but said he would put in a work order for the next day. The next day came and practically went so I called maintenance AGAIN. There was no work order but the maintenance man who came up this time was very good. He dropped the plunger in, gave it a twist and said it was fixed (which it was)!
On 2 of the nights I was rudely awakened by someone slipping a flyer under my door and then knocking on the door. This was after midnight. The 14th floor was being fumigated (which was where the closest ice machine was) and no one bothered to tell me so I went down and got a lung full of whatever they were using to fumigate the whole floor (for what I don't know). There seemed to be a shortage of cocktail waitresses working the floor at any given hour of the day and those that were working you had to practically trip in order to get their attention to get a drink!
The front desk staff, bell staff and security staff were all very nice and quite polite, even willing to engage in a conversation with you. As for the staff at the Canyon Club, well, let's just say they weren't the politest at filling requests!!! The shows were great but don't think I will be staying here again any time soon.
