I read something online about this place so we went back in November. Ot is minutes away from South Point hotel, right off the I-15.
This is the home of the retired MGM lions. It's a very clean, humane shelter and the animals seem to be treated good here. It is ran mostly by volunteers that are very knowledgeable and friendly. I believe this shelter is ran off of donations and contributions so I didn't mind paying to walk around watching lions interact to "talk" to each other.
They also home a young giraffe that paints! I missed his art show but the have a few of his pieces up for sale. I was able to feed him. That made my experience fanominal!
It's a small shelter, and it's tucked away but if you have time to stop by I highly recommend it. Plus, all entry fees go back to the animals.
