I stayed here with my 67-pound dog during the 2016 BlogPaws Conference. The staff was accommodating and welcoming to the variety of 4-legged friends - from rats to big dogs. There were water bowls, treats, and toys in the lobby and they allowed the conference to set up pet water fountains and treat bowls in the convention center. We were here in June and it was 110+ each day. The hotel put out a runner rug between the door and the "pet restroom" grass area and set up a mister fan to help keep everyone cool.
Our room was quite comfortable - bed, desk, armchair (that my dog commandeered), chest of drawers so I could really unpack for the 4 days we were there, and nice balcony. My dog is on medication that has to be refrigerated so the staff brought a mini-fridge to the room for her - no extra charge. There was plenty of room to set up my dog's bed and bowls. The only thing I would have changed in the room was the height of the desk chair - a little too low for a short person.
I ate mostly buffet food at the conference and it was delicious - I appreciated the many options for vegetarian and gluten-free eaters and how well all the food was labeled with allergen information. These little touches made a big difference. And a bonus hat tip to the staff of the coffee kiosk - they were always super friendly and kind.
The grounds were lovely. The hotel is away from the city so we can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. I would have preferred that the road leading to the hotel had a paved sidewalk or jogging path. There's a lovely nature trail, but I'm not a fan of trail running.
Full disclosure: As a speaker at this conference, the BlogPaws staff paid for my room, so I have no idea what the price was. The fact that my room was comped to me does not impact my opinion of my experience here.
