One day I woke up and said to myself "Nick! swimming is fun, why aren't you currently doing that very activity??" Realizing I didn't have any convincing argument why I wasn't, I began calling pools that were local. The first 2 didn't pick up but the 3rd..well that was the Mt. Lebanon Swim Center.
Since that very day, I tend to frequent this concrete pond whenever I can. The attitude of the pool is extremely white collar we will say. All in all a more typical concern from someone at this pool would be the distance to the nearest whole foods or raise in Starbuck Frappuccino prices. That being said it's a rather refreshing change of pace from the typical concerns of living in the city such as nearby shootings or the idea of getting mugged...but maybe that's just me....
Everyone there is nice and it's mostly families who attend. There are a couple water slides if that tickles your fancy as was a small snack bar. They accept card to get in if you find yourself cashless.
They block off certain times of the day for adult swim if you feel like swimming laps plus it gets rather quiet which is nice.
If you need a pool and want a change of pace from the city life, check this place out.
