  • HeroesCon is a wonderful con for whether you are looking to meet comic creators, shop for back-issues or rare gems, purchase collectibles, or cosplay. It has quite a few open areas where folks can congregate and socialize and lots of fun events and panels. If you've never been to a show before this is a great one and while it definitely focuses on comics above all else (which is a great thing) there is definitely something for everyone. My wife and I have attended every year for the past 7 or so years and we always have a blast. My only criticism is that you do need to be aware that the prices on any new or recent collectibles tend to be heavily inflated by vendors. Shop around and know the going rates because the mighty Scalp-or, evil master of scalping, tends to reign supreme here. For buying older collectibles, hand-made items, indie comic books, and comics in general you won't find a better place!
