  • Ok so they also handle criminal law. I was arrested on a probation violation the origional charge was non sufficiant funds....I wrote a bad check, crime of the century right? I was extradited from Michigan and when I needed an attorney my wife back home found some good reviews at the time no bad on this firm. We paid the retainer immediatly, and thats when shit hit the fan. I was promised a visit right away by Robert Curtis, but after missing 4 appointments and excuses later he showed up. He guaranteed I would at worst be reinstated. I left him information vital to my release and even that my wife is terminally ill. Also I was abused in transport custody a direct violation of my 8th ammendment rights, but nothing. So my court date came and an hour before I was to be heard Mr. Curtis called my wife and told her to get the house ready ill be coming home. Heres the catch he didnt show up to this date instead sending a paralegal in. My court date pushed one week, meanwhile my wife is dieing back home alone. Less then 12 hours before my court date a woman named Cortney calls my wife and tells her I will see your husband tonight and this is a walk in the park so expect him to call you once released. My court date arrived she was over 1 hour late....Again heres where more shit hits the fan hard. I fired my public defender but she was negotiating this case with him....running between him and the prosecutor. I told her I have information about my wifes health and she said its not needed. I also told her and Mr. Curtis I turned states evidance in a huge theft ring sendng 5 state workers to prison, and none of that was presented. I was given six months on a first offense for writing a bad check. I qualified for house arrest into a half way home, but a kind woman heard my case and took me in knowing I live in Michigan and like I said I am on house arrest. Cortney told me when I called she doesnt want me on house arrest. I called 5 attorneys all reviewed my case and said I got screwed hard and to file a sentence modification. So you people got the hopes up of a terminal woman and caused us stress....wow I hope your proud of yourself. Plus how long does it take to type a one line one page document...I did and will file tomorrow on my own. I wouldnt recomend this firm to my worst enemy. I have filed a dispute on our credit card because they took our money and lied. I will be getting my file and self representing myself......and I will probably win too. Thanks for nothing.
