| - Okay, this place is not the St. Vincent DePaul stores that rock Madison so well, but if you are out near the mall/big box store area on the East side, this is worth visiting.
I always find something there-even if it's just a funny nick-nack to send home to a family member as a souvenir. It took me three tries, but I finally found shoes more than fitting to my needs, and then a month later, the boots and doormatts after the first snowfall.
Clothes can be decent and there are some that get pricey with the style they know it sports. I don't remember if they had any good music, but most stores like this don't. I think I bought the book "Black Mass" (about Whitey Bulger-after his arrest/prior to the Depp flick) there, and was not disappointed that I did.
They really get into Halloween, and it would not be difficult to assemble the costume you need for the festivities that unfold in Madison. Workers there are polite. However, I did go to check out one late time when the store was closing, and I saw an odd sight. two cashiers many registers apart were waiting to ring me out. They both were in punk regalia, but the way they looked....made me want to have some Double-Mint gum.
