My Mom went into the hospital on Sunday evening with a hiatal hernia. After a full 24 hours an insanely busy ER, and another day of cardiac testing, she went in to surgery at 730am this morning. She's out now, and the surgery went like a text book operation (no pun intended). She was a little unhappy about the pain, but they make drugs for that, and they're working.... boy are they working.
The staff at St. Joseph's Hospital is really to thank for this. As hectic as the ER got, they were never anything but absolutely sweet to us, the staff was comforting in their professionalism, and the surgeon, Dr. Hashimi, was a real pro. The RNs on hand were super awesome. I can not thank them enough.
