My boyfriend and I have lived here for 2 years now. Our lease is up in just over a month and yesterday our neighbor's gun misfired and a bullet came through our wall. Contacted residence services to try to get out of our lease early because we feel so uncomfortable and in danger now. THEY DENIED IT. So now we're stuck living here paying for another months rent because no one has morals. I'd suggest someone higher up contact me ASAP. Pictures included.
Update: This isn't a matter of the moving process being stressful, a bullet came through our wall that is what is stressful. I understand that this is a legal contract, but with the incident that occurred we do not know if our neighbor has mental issues or not. Obviously, this specific event isn't stated in our lease! This is a unique occurrence and should be treated as one! If this incident happened once it can happen again which puts us in danger. In this instance you and Ovation are showing us that you do not care for your customers and only care about the money.... one months rent at that. If that is the case, is allowing us to move out early worth all the backlash? This directly reflects Ovation and I am sure my reviews on all of Ovations properties and other social media accounts will drive away more business than missing one months rent. If the lease is an issue, fine. Waive May's rent for us. When future tenants of yours read my review they will notice Ovation has zero customer service and a high turnover rate with their employees. No one wants to live somewhere where they are treated so beyond poorly and safety is put second to money.
