| - Very disappointed with my experience. My husband and daughter have been coming here for years so I decided to get my eye exam and glasses here also. The receptionist was pleasant. I didn't wait long before she brought me back to do some of the eye tests. She asked if I wanted eye glasses or contacts or both. I said well I wear glasses currently and tried contacts years ago and didn't do well, but that was a long time ago and should probably give contacts another try. So I said I'd like both. After the initial tests were done I had a seat in the waiting room for the doctor's exam. A few minutes later the doctor came out and got me. He was fine, but nothing to rave about. It was the quickest eye exam I've ever had. I said is that it? He said yep. Every other eye exam I've had in my life took twice as long. So that kind of worried me. I hope the prescription is right. Then I go to choose frames. I finally pick out my two frames and go to sit down and do the order. Turns out their systems are down so it takes twice as long as normal. They have to hand write everything and can't ring me up then. By the way, they get you in the door with 2 pair of glasses for $69.95 includes FREE eye exam. That's for very basic with no polycarbonate, no scratch resistant coating, no anti-reflective coating, no progressive or transition lenses, etc.... My 2 pairs of glasses come out to $670.00! I specifically said I wanted progressive lenses which the girl knew because I had two pairs of glasses currently and said I'd like one pair for both distance and computer so I don't have to switch between two pairs of glasses. Also some of the glasses I tried on weren't as big as others and she said they were probably too small for progressives so she knew I wanted progressives. She said she'd give me a call when the systems were up with the total price. I asked if I could pay half now and half later and she said no problem and that she would give me call when the systems were back up. Well the system never came back up that day. I called the next day and was on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up and called back and asked to speak with the girl who helped me. She picked up and I told her I was in yesterday and noticed on my order that progressive lenses wasn't checked. She says, oh I thought you wanted distance only. I'm like no! The whole reason I came in was for progressives! I already have two pairs of glasses. One for the computer and one for distance. And you quoted me pricing based on progressive lenses. So she's say ok, she'd fix it because she hadn't submitted the order yet. Thank God! I asked if I can pay half now and the rest later, she said sure and put me on hold to get the amount. She gives me the amount and says can I put you on hold again while I ring it up. I said, sure. She comes back on the phone and says the system charged the whole amount. I said, what? I only wanted to pay half now and half when I picked them up which you said was fine. I said how do you fix this? She says, well I'd have to refund the entire order and that will take 10 days. Then I'll have to ring it up again. I said, just forget get it, whatever. If it's going to take 10 days what's the point. My glasses should be ready by then. I didn't want to pay all up front! Not a very happy customer. The girl is nice enough, but clearly needs more on the job training!!!
