We came to Rolling in Dough cafe/Chocolate Spice bakery on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. My review is strictly for the cafe side since I only had lunch from here so I can't speak for their bakery items.
Interior/ambiance was cute but odd. I liked their bookshelves with all the decor and thought their wooden tables added to a cute touch but their zebra print arm chairs made no sense to me. Are you trying to be cute or edgy? I also didn't like the background music. They are playing radio station which plays lots of ad so you will end up eating lunch while listening to an add about insurance company. Personally, radio station with pop music & ads didn't quite set the right ambiance.
Service was alright. One lady (Robin?) working the whole place all by herself while another lady just stood and watched Robin work. It was as if she was an ice sculpture because she didn't move whatsoever, and at the same time giving this ice cold stare. Service would have been a lot better with more attention to detail if this ice sculpture lady helped out in cleaning and serving.
We ordered their daily special that day which was a french dip roast beef sandwich. We also got a turkey BLT. Wait time was fairly long, being the only party there and still look a good 20 mins only for the food to come out cold. My french dip roast beef sandwich was alright. I wish they toasted the sandwich. Sandwich was meaty, but wasn't filing. I wasn't a fan of their turkey BLT. Overall dry and bland.
Lots of improvement needed on service/teamwork and food was nothing to rave about. I won't be back, at least for their cafe side.
