I hadn't been in for a trim or cut for many months (family illness) and my hair was down to the middle of my shoulder blades and straggly. I had a coupon and went in for a quick, manageable hair cut. I like a clean, geometric cut without stray chunks of hair, regardless of how avant garde that is. My hair is this and fine, so styling it to my liking is challenging. I had been to some very pricey salons since moving to Vegas and been sorely disappointed with not only how my hair was cut but how well the stylists listened to what I wanted, so for this quicky clean-up I felt fine about doing it economically. I went to the salon on a walk in and was informed I was 2nd on the list so it would be 10 or 15 minutes and they were right on time when they called be back. Lynda was my stylist. I explained that I had the coupon and just wanted her to cut the hair to the shoulder, since I didn't have a great deal of time and would be getting it "styled" and possibly colored on my next visit to a salon so I needed some hair to play with. She asked if I wanted a wash and condition and I said yes. She then gave me the BEST cut I had had since moving to Vegas two years ago! It was a long bob (I figured the way I said "just cut it off" would lead to a blunt shoulder cut) with more style than my last three cuts...AND for SIGNIFICANTLY LESS! So I went out the door with a great cut, my hair looking so much more healthy and all for less than $15 plus tip!!! The biggest surprise was that I think I have found my hair stylist in Vegas finally...and not at all where I was looking! So I can vigorously recommend Lynda for anyone with thinner, finer hair who is looking for a nice style. Lynda gets 5 stars and the only reason this is a 4 star review is that the salon (even though it is a Fantastic Sam's and I wasn't really expecting too much) could use a bit of a facelift.
