Wilk's Booth serves up burgers and usual fries and onion rings as well as poutine. The chalk board menu on the side of the truck is not the complete menu as I discovered. The truck was parked at my work so staff had been sent a link to their menu and I was taken aback that quite a few of the items wasn't on the chalkboard when I went to order but they had no problem making it when I asked for one of the missing items of meat and potato poutine. The poutine is decent; the fries were fresh and had nice crisp edges and a good balance of cheese curds, fries and gravy overall. They say the gravy is home-made but to me it has an out-of-a-box-mix-it-yourself aftertaste. The onion rings are not worth the price. I asked the girl at the order window if they were good and she said yes as they were the thin kind. The onion rings were really crispy but unfortunately the onion rings were cut so thinly that the ratio to batter and onion was very poor and I could barely taste any onion and the batter was crunchy to bite into but felt a little "chewy" after a couple of chews (if that makes sense!). The 1/4 pounder patty was obviously made with good beef but not really seasoned or spiced with any pizzazz. The one complaint I had was that even though I had mixed the poutine up, when I got to the bottom I got some very salty tasting last bites. The meal was decent, a little expensive. The onion rings were $5 and the small order of meat and potato poutine was $10. They take cash or credit card, no debit as they use foursquare.
