  • I came here for treatment of a rare neurological disease that I have ALREADY been diagnosed with and been undergoing treatment for. After waiting about 45 minutes, the doctor comes in and spends about 3 minutes with me. This could NEVER be enough for him to understand the disease I have. I just had open heart surgery 5 months prior and was going in again in 13 days and when I mentioned it... Nothing. My main goal was to get more energy. I had finally been approved for a treatment called IVIG and that had helped a little, but I wanted more help with the fatigue and weakness caused by my disease. When I went to check out, 10 tests were ordered. None of which were explained to me. Why did I need ultrasounds of my arms and legs? I'm 35 and underweight... They are looking for a blood clot, maybe? Why are they not explaining tests? Ok, so I go to schedule them. They tell me EVERY SINGLE ONE HAS TO BE SCHEDULED ON A SEPARATE DAY! Why? Because my insurance does not cover it together. Not true. I've had many of these tests done before and all on the same day. I called my insurance, just to make sure, they prefer to do multiple test same day. Costs them less money. So I start doing my tests. One by one. Each day I wait 2-3 hours. On some days there is not a chair to sit in. This is a place for neurological patients and the wait is ridiculous and people have to stand! Their medical assistant talks to you like you are below her. I was extremely nice and humble. Asking for my medical approvals for my IVIG and another medication on each visit. She would make me wait sometimes 45 minutes to even see her to ask the question and then act like I was an idiot that did not understand anything and talk to me very slow. She wears a permanent scowl. I thought it was personal, until my home nursing pharmacist called and said he treated her the same way. That he was very concerned because they cut my IVIG dose in half. WHAT! The only thing that has helped me! That took 2 years for approval and they sent in an order to cut it in half, and without an explanation! They have probably seen 5 people with my disease, ever. The world protocol for it is what I am on. They are messing with my life. So to sum it up, tons of unnecessary tests, no explanations, rude staff and they arbitrarily mess with your medication. I wish I could give this a zero.
