| - I want to start by saying I really did love this bar. The ambiance is great and the live music was awesome. The staff is the problem and totally killed it for us. My husband is a veteran and he invited a fellow veteran that he served with overseas to have drinks with us at Redneck Riviera. We heard that this place was veteran friendly, which is rare where we live, so we were super excited to try it.
The staff started out good. The bartender started off by forgetting to bring us drinks we ordered, but once reminded she brought them right over. Well, she did this a bunch of times. She and the other staff would take shots in the corner then come back and forget we were there. That's fine, we understand people forget.. we are all humans. Well, the last time she forgot our drinks, my husband asked her again for them, and asked for one of the free beers that are given to veterans. My husband already had his, but his friend had not. My husband told the waitress that his friend was a veteran as well so that he could get a beer, and she responds with, "oh my god how many times are you going to say that? We get it, you guys were in the military" then walked away. She came back, slammed the drink down on the table, then didn't help us anymore after that. My husband was upset, but didn't say anything, paid the bill and still left a tip. I went to the restroom and he and his friend went outside to wait for me so that we could take our business elsewhere. He proceeded to tell the security guard about the waitress.... and the security guard called security to kick us out. WHAT!? He claimed my husband was too drunk (2 beers deep) and then made some weird allegation saying that he was "licking his lips too much", which "must mean he's on cocaine". I'm beside myself. My husband has been a police officer for 11 years and I am a children's social worker... we definitely do not use cocaine. We felt extremely disrespected and offended. We still can't believe the staff that worked on this night. I will never go back to this establishment.
We were especially excited to go to this bar because we are survivors of route 91, where we saw big and rich and are fans. I'm sure if John Rich knew the amount of disrespect we experienced that night he would be upset. I'm still beside myself about the whole incident.
