I've been using Dr Strimling for around 10 years and although I think he's a great doctor (when he's not in a hurry), I have issues with some of his office practices.
I always have a 1 -1 1/2 HR wait to see him. Sometimes longer. I've had cosmetic and medical treatments both including Botox, Restylane, laser treatment for brown spots. They are pricey but sometimes he has great deals happening. When I go in, he always listens and provides satisfying solutions and options.
Here's what really upsets me. He has also treated me for acne with Accutane. When I do Accutane therapy (3 times over the years) he charges my Insurance for the regular consultation fee plus I pay a $20 co-pay and before I can get my prescription, I have to pay $100 cash fee because of the hassle dealing with the iPledge system. What?! He gets his consultation fee plus the $20 co-pay every month when I come in for a new script so why is logging into iPledge to post test results costing an extra $100? I pay him to provide me with medical expertise and services. Services include everything that that particular course of treatment encompasses, whether it's a hassle or not those things should be covered.
If his office had to deal with a pharmacy or insurance that didn't want to cover a particular medication he prescribed and he had to deal with the hassle of getting prior auth., they couldn't charge extra service fees. Same concept.
I need the treatment again but I don't want to pay extra for a service that should be included. Let's take my hour and a half wait time and call us even?
