  • First off, let me say Don is such a great, friendly guy with a lot of information. He provided information on what we need to do to get our house up to par. He made the inspection a breeze overall and his report was easy to read. Why I am giving this a three star is that there were some items missed. I have had two homes inspected in the past, this one being the third. Don and another worker inspected the house and I feel like they did an awesome job on the house itself, but missed some items in the garage and the backyard. - All doors needed new weather stripping. I am not sure if this is a typical inspection item, but in my last two inspections I used in the past noted that I needed to get new stripping. - The backyard steps have many loose tiles. I almost fell walking down the steps because a tile tilted out. My father who is a GC came over shocked it did not get checked and he tested them and glued them down. - there is an edge piece of travertine tile on our patio that is cracked and sharp. - The wooden beam on our patio is tilted like it is going to fall at one end. - One outlet in the garage is dead. - All of the bolts were loose on the swing set- I am not sure if they are supposed to check this, but it is part of the house and is a safety concern. - the bathroom fan in the powder room is extremely loud and squeaky when you turn it on. - one of the showers in the front of the house had a leak.. they did not determine where it was coming from, but if you just look on the sides and under the door you would see it was that the shower lacked rubber stripping and caulking to keep the water from leaking out of the shower. We hired another person who just looked a little bit harder and we had a handy man come out and put some rubber stripping in. - the ladder to the Attic has a broken bracket so the bottom part caves in and looks like it is about to break. We ordered a re-inspection to check the items again to make sure the seller fixed everything correctly. He did a good job with that. Overall, they did a good job as there is a lot that comes with inspecting a house- I am just finding some items that did not show up on the report.
