| - So, my bf got me out of the house for the weekend - destination Vegas. We were there Sat & Sun.... and trust me, it was NOT cheap for the weekend. (I travel a lot) Let me first say, I spent a good amount of my visit GVR at the spa, pool area. I had no problems with the casino, nor the hotel areas. It was my first time here, and I was excited about going. I use spas often when I travel, as a time to relax and unwind. However, this spa experience was very annoying.... And, the oddest thing happened.... I had an experience where a spa attendant(s) told me "YOU can't USE the lockers, because we have SPA guest coming with appointments." Literally, the moment I get to the door of the SPA, some woman stops me and says they are short on lockers.. and she says I can't use one--- she damn near blocked the door to the entrance. I came back out, and luckily caught my bf before he went in to his locker room area, and So, I had my BF to put my PURSE in his locker while I worked out at the fitness center. Day 2... IT HAPPENED AGAIN... I was STOPPED A 2ND TIME by A DIFFERENT attendant... who said, "oh, our services were all booked up, and we only have about 3 lockers left, so you can't really have a locker, we are "holding" them for people who are having a service. I had checked the front desk, and they certainly had appointments available, I asked, and they were willing to book me a massage. I said to the 2nd attendant (cause I was unfamiliar on how to use the lockers), okay, I asked woman #2... (how would I know if one was not attended?) and she told me how to use them... But, after she left, i went back to look, and there, were certainly more than 3 available lockers. WHO STOPS people from using LOCKERS?? And, more importantly, how is it that there are not enough lockers? MY bf said he it was probably something else going on, and I should let it go... but, i can't, so Im writing this so that maybe I can get past it... However, I have not read ANY OTHER REVIEW OF PEOPLE who have had this issue with GVR... I'm so disappointed, I wanted to like this place, but I will certainly dissuade him from going to this property again, because we can spend our hard earned money elsewhere.
This review was not for the restaurant... it was for Golden Valley Ranch Spa.
