| - I really don't understand the hype with this place, maybe I need to try their paninis, but I've tried many of their bruschettas and a handful of their appetizers.
Where their bruschettas are concerned, the bread is thick and hard, difficult to eat and painful on the gums. The ingredients are all fresh and their mozzarella is home made but bland and tasteless, just like all their other ingredients. I found their salmon bruschetta to be one of their best, along with their olive bruschetta but both were skimpy on toppings and small for the amount you're paying for.
Unfortunately the only appetizer that sticks out to me was their capris, the tomatoes were very fresh and they did actually taste good but the mozzarella was once again bland, tasteless, and definitely nothing to write home about.
We came with a very large group, celebrating my sister's birthday, around 6PM so the place was packed. Luckily we had made reservations and were all accommodated nicely on the patio, which is quite lovely. Everyone else in the party only had praise to give on the food, especially my sister who loves the place and works at one of the farms they get many of their ingredients from (so organic and locally sourced!)
My boyfriend and I were the only ones with complaints, from how long it took to actually be served, to our glasses never being refilled. But I would suggest this place to foodie hipsters, large groups looking for small eats, or people with very bland tastes. Beware this place is impossible to find parking and the service is spotty.
