  • I think this is the only Wicca/Pagan/(Witch)craft store left in Montreal? There used to be Melange Magique on Ste. Catherine but I once walked in and saw some creepy Baphomet tarot cards and some rather unsavoury characters lurking about and I never returned after that. So that leaves us with Charme et Sortilege. Which is not a bad thing at all. The ladies who run this place are very, very friendly and willing to listen and offer suggestions for your crafting needs. They know exactly what they are talking about. Many of the books and materials are more French than English but the ladies are fully bilingual so they can always explain things as well. Mind you, this isn't Salem, Massachusetts where the craft stores there are practically department-store sized. This is a smaller shop, and while it carries most basic items for ritual and craft like candles, pendulums, a few tarot decks, candle sniffers, wands and botanicals, it is still limited though they could probably special-order some items for you if you're in a fix. I'd say for beginner practitioners, there's more than enough here to keep you going. For more advanced ones, you might end up having to order lots of stuff. Still, it's a great place to check out.
