| - This was my first trip to Vegas in 11 years! Even though I'm from Hawaii, where the majority of residents flock here to blow their hard-earned money gambling, we on the other hand, would rather see the world. We were in town for a concert.
LOCATION:
They're located in the boonies on the north end of the strip, though directly across the street from the Fashion Show Mall.
ENTRY:
We had privilege of the VIP entrance which has a separate entry and check in/out, located just before the main entry. Manicured gardens abound, and elegant décor adorn the reception area.
ROOM:
We were in 6020. The room is spacious and very modern. We had great views of the neighboring Wynn, Wynn Golf Course, Fashion Show Mall, Treasure Island, Palazzo, Rio, Mirage and a sliver of Caesar's Palace. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were too soft for me.
BATHROOM:
It's very spacious, with a glass shower, soaking tub, two basins and a separate water closet. All the usual amenities were offered.
CASINO:
We are not gamblers at all, but played for about an hour. Compared to other hotels, this casino is beautifully bright, airy, and cheerful. There are big windows that overlook the gardens. The best experience was that the smoke level was very minimal.
SPA:
While we didn't partake in any treatments we did tour the gorgeous pathway leading to the spa lol! Beautiful. It looked like we were headed into an Asian temple. I can only imagine what the inside looks like.
POOL:
We are not pool loungers but we have eyes! The Beach Club area is swanky as hell! Yikes. Just gorgeous. So is the pool outside XS. It's nothing like a Hawaii resort but still beautiful.
RESTAURANTS:
I have a separate review for Zoozacrackers on their dedicated Yelp page.
NIGHTCLUBS:
I have a separate review for XS on their dedicated Yelp page.
SHOWS:
I have a separate review for Le Reve on their dedicated Yelp page.
SERVICE:
Concierge was good but not great. We phoned down to check on concert tickets that were to be dropped off. The female associate who answered the phone was very courteous and professional, but apparently couldn't get in touch with anyone in that department, and was going to call us back. We waited about 20 minutes before heading down to deal with it in-person because we were getting nervous.
OVERALL:
These are hands down two of the most beautiful hotels on the Strip. Nice location and a bit isolated from the heart, a plus for some, but I'd rather be near the City Center area.
