Hubby and I consider Keegan's one of our favorite spots in the area, and we have never been disappointed with food or service. So it seemed like a good idea to take our out-of-town guest there tonight. All three of us came away delighted.
Our server, Shy, was delightful and took excellent care of us. She quickly brought our cocktails, which were very good, and then answered all our questions about menu options. She was quite knowledgeable, but when she didn't know an answer she left briefly to get the correct information for us.
I had the chicken piccata, a personal favorite. The chicken was tender, served on lemon butter and artichoke heart, and topped with a generous portion of capers. The selection included Keegan's wonderful cheesy potatoes and fresh green beans. Everything was delicious.
Both my husband and our guest ordered fried fish. Both ate every bite!
Our friend ordered the sweet potato fries with her fish and declared them some of the best she'd ever had.
All in all, it was a great dinner experience. We will definitely be back.
BTW - Shy told us the restaurant will be closing around July 11 for a complete remodel. Should be closed a couple of weeks.
