| - I'm not going to say that this is a top-notch hotel because it's not from an amenities standpoint, but this was a very nice spot to stay at in Toronto when my girlfriend and I visited last weekend. It's pretty much smack-dab in the middle of Toronto, which means that it's not all too far away from walking to some of the locations, but you are near the heart of where the commercial district is - so don't expect it to be jam-packed with tourist attractions right outside the door. For $125/night (which is the rate we got), you get a very sizable room - a separate 'living room' area, if you will, complete with a fridge and a minibar, as well as a separate bedroom and bathroom area. The bathroom is the weak part of the room, with the utilities being a bit aged, but outside of that, you couldn't ask for more space for your money. Everything else worked fine, and having all that room was great. Parking costs $25 a day, but you have all the in-out privileges, and you don't even have to stick in a ticket or keycard to get in - just drive in and out. It's a bit tricky navigating the entry and exit, so just watch the front of your car and make sure you don't hit anything.
The gentlemen at the front were very amiable and helped us get checked in and out very quickly. Along with free Wi-Fi, this about has all you would need for a quick trip up to Toronto. I might stay somewhere a little further west next time, but if you have a car, it won't be that big of an issue. For the price, I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for first-class hotel room space at a bargain price.
