This company is a nightmare to deal with and I highly question their ethics. I have a home I rent in the Las Vegas area through a property management company. Somehow First Residential started sending landscape non-compliance letters to an address I haven't lived at in years. I never received any of these letters and neither did the tenant so the issue was never addressed. They sent these letters for over a year while the fine racked up. Fast forward to a few months ago I suddenly get a letter out of the blue to my address that I currently live in the Chicago area saying I owe $350 for these violations. I call immediately and this is how I find out that they had been sending the letters to the old address for over a year about the violations. I ask how they even got my new address in the Chicago area and they can't tell who changed it but I never did. I ask them to change it to my property management company (this is where the letters should have been going the entire time) but they won't do it unless I fill out a form for address change and send it back to them. Totally crazy considering someone changed the address to my Chicago area home without my permission or knowledge. I get the form and fax it them the next day. I also ask for the email address to dispute the charges since they changed my mailing address to an old house I hadn't lived in for years, I never get the email address. Now I've received another letter in the mail this week saying that the fine has risen as the issue still remains (Property Management company says it was fixed a month and half ago) and when I call guess what? They claim they never received the address change I faxed for mail to go to my property management company. I'm not waiting for a "property manager" to call me back to talk about all of this and they have 48 hours to get back to me. This is all a ploy for them to just make it difficult to resolve the situation so I'll give up and pay the fines. I can't believe this company is in business. If they continue to give me the runaround I will be contacting the BBB and filing a compliant.
