I came here after a friend recommended Dr. Vegh. I was originally seeing a Dr. Dave but after being on the fence about her treatment I decided to switch to Dr. Vegh thinking it would be better. I told her my concerns like preeclampsia because my mom had it and family history and I got told I was a first time mom and that everything was extremely rare. Half the time I felt like I was just a nuisance and that all my concerns were swept under the rug. I failed my 1 hour glucose test so badly they skipped the 3 hour test and diagnosed me with gestational diabetes and I had to manage it with a high risk doctor but still seeing Dr. vegh for everything else. I started developing preeclampsia symptoms but Dr. Vegh said it wasn't a concern for her at the moment since my blood pressure was doing okay, even though I was swelling like a balloon! My diabetic doctor (high risk doctor) on the other hand was taking it very seriously, telling me a plan to keep track of my blood pressure along with my sugar and actually sent me to the triage twice just to be sure.
At a check up with Dr. Vegh, she questioned my high risk doctors diagnoses for preeclampsia saying that blood pressures over at their office were sometimes higher than at valley women's office. I had to tell her that I tracked them at home and they were indeed that high. She didn't even check my swelling even though I jumped from a size 8 shoe to a 12! She did send me to triage once when it was higher at a different visit. So I figured she was going to start taking it seriously.
At my high risk doctors, checking my blood sugar my blood pressure was high and she decided that I had to go to the hospital to deliver my baby at 36 weeks. She gave me a hug and told us to please let her know how I was doing and sent me to the hospital. I saw about 4 different doctors from valley women, but I never saw Dr. Vegh. So if you decide that this is the place you want to be, Try to see all the doctors because the ones that are on call will be the one delivering you. I wish I knew or I wouldn't have been adamant to see a certain doctor.
When it came time to deliver, the doctor I had was a doctor that worked with valley women for woman but it was only part time. She was great but again, I was seen as the first time mom so she left the room but told me to continue to push. When she came back, she barely had time to put on her scrubs and because of that I tore pretty badly. It was a horrible experience. From the time I started pushing to the time my son was born it was 34 minutes.
After that I was released even though my blood pressure Was still high. I had HORRIBLE headaches to the point I couldn't function. I went back and they told me to basically take my pain meds and drink a soda for caffeine headaches since I had history of migraines. They kept getting worse so I finally saw my family doctor who gave me blood pressure medication and watched me closely, since it takes a while for preeclampsia to go away. I will never go back to that doctor and I wish I had switched to a new one.
