  • Edit: Dr LeSueur called me just as I was posting this to follow up, see how I was feeling and if I'd had any problems or needed anything. He was the dentist to do my initial check up and consultation, and gave me the impression of being a genuinely warm and caring individual; in general, not just in relation to my teeth, specifically. My full review is below but again, the bottom line is really just that everyone there was very kind and made me feel comfortable. -- Really great dentist with a nice office, clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were all kind and friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful; I had to have one appointment rescheduled due to a conflict with the anesthesiologist, and both the dental office and the anesthesiologist called me to apologize and assure me that my next two appointments (I needed two as I had a lot of work that had to be done) would go ahead as planned; which they did. The anesthesiologist, Dr Jeremy Miller, took the time to call me a second time after his first call went to voicemail but the voicemail failed to save correctly; which of course he had no way of knowing- and yet he still called back. I thought that was very good of him. I'm not too nervous about dental work, a bit, but more so I worry about being judged and lectured; my teeth were in very poor condition a year ago, when I last went to a dentist. (Partially due to genetics and partially due to being a type 1 diabetic.) Then, before I could have them fixed back then, my fiancĂ© died. Following that, I didn't do a good job taking care of them- in part because I simply couldn't be bothered and in part because my insomnia was so bad I wouldn't sleep for days at a time- that naturally throws off any kind of routine one develops over time of brushing when they wake up and before they go to sleep. Despite that, no one lectured me. I was told that smoking is bad for me, as all doctors tell smokers, but even that wasn't a lecture- I was told it causes cancer, I said I'm very well aware, and that was that. Lastly, my insurance covered very little of my large bill, (the pricing was reasonable but I needed a lot done as I mentioned; 18 fillings, 4 extractions of my wisdom teeth, a root canal and a crown,) and we had negotiated the bottom line with a woman who left just before my work commenced, and she hadn't written down the agreed upon price anywhere official before her departure; despite this, the office honored that price, which I really appreciated as it was a difference of about $1000. I hope to not have to go back any time soon, as no one enjoys the dentist, but I'm glad to know that when I do there's a good one nearby I'll be comfortable going back to.
