  • Just to let everyone know from the get go - I have not hired this professional for the job. I am strictly reviewing this business based on the first rate customer service I received by a simple phone call. On our own, we were able to isolate our issues to the upstairs AC unit, and called this pro to see if we could get him to come out. Chris, the owner - was more than happy to do so, but first asked what was going on with our unit. He did disclose he does charge a $60 service fee (for the time taken to show up, and find out what's going on) which IS deducted from your bill should you follow through with his services. After I explained the situation, the owner actually went out of his way to offer us a means of trying a DIY fix first, before we scheduled a visit from him to help save us a little money! He was the first out of 7 AC professionals I have contacted throughout this week who bothered to take the time and give a little TLC to a potential customer! That speaks VOLUMES to me about this professional's ethical practice - he'll definitely be on my call list for service should it come down to us needing emergency help! All other professionals I have contacted (and I will gladly list their names should you request it personally - not into bashing everyone at once here), have been more than willing to show up, but then don't bother to tell you what it's going to cost for them just to show up, until you are ready to hang up - or unless you are asking them directly! And they assume you are going to use their service and sign a contract based on them showing up. Yeah, I don't think so. So - should you have AC issues, that really does warrant a professional repair - seriously think about contacting this company first. ------------ This next part is not directed at the company itself but regarding the whole "service call/show up/diagnostic fee" practice in general by most contractors in the valley! I'm not quite fond of professional businesses (it's not just isolated to AC guys, but also to landscapers, locksmiths, or any trade for that matter) that charge this type of fee. I do understand the premise behind it, the professional wants to protect their business, and not get scammed by customers, and let's face it, the Vegas valley is FULL of scammers and conners and the valley's history is pretty much based on this practice! So yes, I do understand - protect the business and not waste the resources (time, gas, etc...). On the flip side, it does put skepticism into an honest customer of a business practice when you are being charged for someone to show up, diagnose what's going on or to plan something, on blind faith without the contractor vying for the customer's business first. It makes it harder for a customer to thoughtfully and carefully hire a professional based on personal service when you have to pay upfront. I know it's a fine line to walk on, and realize that contractors need to make an income of their time. This is just a practice I am NOT accustomed to nor comfortable with here as I grew up in a much different environment. Anyhoo, that's just my two lil cents on that.
